I Met My Younger Self for Coffee

1 min

I met my younger self for coffee.

She showed up bright-eyed, full of energy—eager to prove herself, make an impact, and say yes to everything.
Fresh out of college. Pushing forward, always reaching.
She was in a hurry to get somewhere. She believed the path was linear.

She reminded me of my confidence. My curiosity. My ambition.
I still carry all of that.

She used to measure her worth by accolades—and how close she stood to the glitz and glam.
I now measure mine by alignment—with my values, my purpose, my peace.

She wanted to be seen.
I understand my inherent worth—without depending on external validation.

I know I am on a journey and willing to see where it takes me.
I’m less afraid of detours.

She’d be proud of me.
And I’m proud of her too.

Growth looks different for everyone, but one thing is for sure: we all have a younger version of ourselves who would be so proud.
